After many years as a career accountant in the Memphis area, I became involved in the family mortgage business in 2002. My initial motivation was to help my sons, Derek and Travis, with a mortgage company that had began to grow beyond what we had all expected. I always joked with my friends that I wasn't a "mortgage person," as I was just there to help and lend a hand where needed. 

 

Almost 20 years later, I am still in the mortgage business. I guess that amount of experience now qualifies me as a "mortgage person." I have been lucky to have worked alongside not only my sons, but many wonderful people that have helped us shape a reputation for honesty and hard work. 

 

In the past 20 years, I have developed a wide range of mortgage knowledge and operational skills, performing functions such as processing, closing, funding and accounting. The skills and experience I have developed have enabled me to be a part of thousands of loan closings. I enjoy the challenge of helping our customers, doing whatever it takes to deliver on our promises.
